Luggage For Youth Who Lost their Homes in STL Tornado!
In the wake of heartbreak, hope still rises. 💛
The recent tornado left behind more than just destruction—it left families and youth without homes, without belongings, without a sense of normalcy.
At My Life In A Bag Foundation, we made a promise to stand with our youth, especially in their darkest moments. One young girl, currently in foster care, lost everything with her family. When they reached out to us, we welcomed her with open arms. She picked out everything she needed—essentials, comfort items, and little pieces of hope. Her smile, even through the pain, reminded us why we do this.
Another young man, also in care, was on a home visit when the tornado hit. He returned to find everything gone. His caseworker brought him to our office, and as he chose the things he needed, he broke down in tears—thanking God for showing up. I told him, “God shows up through community, and this—this is how He moves.” The young man smiled through his tears and said, “Amen.”
💔 These are real stories.
💪 This is real impact.
🙏 This is YOUR love in action.
To our community: Thank you. Because of you, these young souls felt seen, loved, and not alone. Let’s continue to show up. Let’s continue to be the hands and hearts that help rebuild.
