Tanya Thompson

President

Tanya Thompson brings a wealth of experience from the healthcare industry, where she has spent many years serving seniors with compassion and purpose. With a background in Admissions, Marketing, Sales, and Discharge Planning, Tanya has developed a well-rounded skill set that thrives in fast-paced, goal-oriented environments—making her a perfect fit for her evolving role at My Life in a Bag Foundation.

Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional work. As a former board member of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, Tanya understands the importance of building strong community connections and leading with intention. Her years of experience coordinating across systems and advocating for others have equipped her with the communication and organizational skills essential to supporting our mission.

For the past two years, Tanya has been a dedicated volunteer with MLIAB, helping manage event logistics, coordinating details for our annual Gala's, and stepping in wherever needed. Her reliability, adaptability, and willingness to serve make her an incredible asset to our team.

Now stepping into a more formal role, Tanya is excited to bring smiles to the faces of the children we serve. “Accepting this position with My Life in a Bag Foundation gives me the opportunity to continue helping—just in a different way,” she says.

Tanya's deep-rooted passion for service, combined with her leadership experience in healthcare and community engagement, continues to resonate across the foundation. We’re honored to have her energy, empathy, and excellence guiding our efforts to uplift and empower foster, homeless, and underserved youth.
